Day 334: Cake at Claire's

I had been craving a cupcake and a friend suggested I get some Lithuanian coffee cake at Claire's. It's one of their specialties and I'd not had a chance to try it, so we did after lunch. Good. Very good.

Day 320: New painting at Claire's

I met S for lunch at Claire's today and we noticed they've put new paintings up. This is a nice one of the Green. Much more appropriate than the snowy one I posted on Day 162.

Day 162: Another lunch at Claire's

Today we went to lunch at Claire's and I had some more nice soup there like I'd had last time. I noticed this painting on the wall and it reminded me of the paintings in Hector's in Edinburgh. This is of the New Haven Green, and it is pretty similar to what it looks like right now...snow on the ground and the trees with no leaves.

Day 136: Lunch at Claire's

It was terribly cold today, but I went out to look at the shops for clothes for work (our shipment of things from the UK is not coming any time soon!) and I stopped to meet S at Claire's for lunch. Claire's is a well-known vegetarian restaurant in New Haven, and happily today they were serving plenty of hot soups. I had the mushroom barley pictured above.
