We took advantage of the crisp but sunny weather in Paris to climb up to the top of Sacré-Coeur. Actually, I thought I was paying 5 euro for the privilege of going inside the basilica; instead I found myself walking up 300 stairs to the very top. But I will admit, it was worth it.

Yes, it's free to go into churches/cathedrals in France. But they love to convince you to climb the stairs and come see the crypt! (Which are usually very disappointing since they are mainly just marble covered boxes.) Beautiful picture!
